Franchise messiah

You see your gods on the plasma screen,
Telling you what to do
You believe in their words
Digesting them with ease
We are just shells for their words to fill
Million dollar smiles fake tans and lives
Consuming us with their consumption
A product of their production
Anorexic is salvation
Obese is damnation
Walking billboards we have become
Speaking phrases borrowed from others
Imagination is gone like last years fashion
We cannot go forward without direction

You know, I could have never put it into words, but I realized the same thing about the media and the effect that it was having on me and my children, and I did away with it!. Your poem is excellent!. Since kicking out the Boob Tube, me and my children are free to be who we were meant to be without someone else's opinions being ground into our being!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nice!:) soo many people are influenced by t!.v!. and the computer whether it be consciously or subconsciously!. Pretty funny because i was just getting all worked up because myspace is acting up! But yes very true this is crap we feed our minds daily and if we're not aware of how we digest what we see it can shape us into something far less than what God designed us to be!. thanks for the poem!!:)Www@QuestionHome@Com
