Question: Does it ever come back!?
I haven't really written in about 3 years!. I don't know what happened, but I got writers block that never truly went away!. In the past week I have written 3 poems but they are just CRAP!. Can you get it back once you lose it, or should I think more on the terms of expository or short story writing!?
I know it can't be forced, but can it be coaxed!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Get a copy of Ted Kooser's (poet laureate) book entitled 'The Poetry Home Repair Manual'!. He makes the statement that a poet needs to practice daily!. Observations, comments from books read, whatever, but practice!. His arguments make sense even if you are just jotting down brief observations that later may provide the spark for poem!. Another tip that I use on occasion is to practice by writing poems with fixed forms for practice!. Your voice will arise again, but your pen has to start!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like Neon's ideas, I hadn't written in a long time either!. Once I discovered Yahoo poetry, I started again!. Along with what Neon said, you get better with practice!.-- continue writing!. I have been inspired by music, commercials, thoughts of the past!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
