Yes, artists in general and poets in particular do have a vivid imagination!. They are very sensual human beings with a remarkable talent that enables them to express their thoughts and feelings in a way so unique in its nature!.

Imagination is the universe inside your mind, where the rules don't apply unless you desire it!. It is a freedom that can't exist anywhere else!. It is the merging of reality in unique ways!. It is putting the puzzle together when the pieces can fit anywhere!. Where you can pick originality from the trees, no matter what color or shape the leaves are!. It is simply a place where anything is possible, and nothing is required!. (Place) by Saige!.

In my opinion a poet can't use the readers’ imagination!. A poet can use his/her own imagination to produce art, but how can he/she use the imagination of others!? It is physically impossible!. Everyone’s own imagination is personal and private unless expressed of course!. However a poet does indeed influence the readers to use their imagination more often than they would usually do, and he/she encourage them to think and use their minds in an artistic sort of way!. And of course a poet does use his/her imagination more than the readers use their imagination!.

I think a poet that “is able to condense a thousand words into 10 and still get their point across” shouldn’t not be regarded as a good poet, he/she should be regarded as an excellent one! But a good poet would definitely get the point across, I agree!.

As for what you said “a poet can take a photograph with their vocabulary and diction” Yes I agree with you, as in poetry, every word when conjoined with another in a line would imply a certain idea or point of view, which would in turn form a “photograph” in one’s mind!. That photo would probably differ in every individual’s mind as every individual’s memories and experiences are in fact different, and perhaps a good poet would be able to draw a photo that wouldn’t be perceived in a completely different manner by most individuals, thus getting the point across!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
