Question: Is this a "special" enough Christmas poem!?

Night brightened with Yuletide cheer
people stroll by without even a glance
at humble abode lost in street's glitter
its only decoration
a single candle
flickering
on window sill

It was all the occupant had
to offer passersby
a reflection of the
warmth in his heart
inviting any who saw
to enter and
partake

He waited at the door to welcome
any who chose to knock
but many walked by
barely noticing
the glorious light
a single candle
can make

in a world that's dark on

I never really know what you're looking for in an answer, but yes, this is a special enough one for Christmas, or any other time of the year!. As much as I liked the twisted "crown of thorns" poem's theme, I like this ones message that much more!.

(And I can't stand overly decorated houses!. A few properly placed candles IS all that is needed!.)

Not a bad Didactic poem, I like the tone!. Even though I am Dogmatically oppose to Xianity, because of it's abusive enslavement and hostage taking of the concept of god, the simple autruism displayed in this poem is the basic beauty that religion takes hostage!.
