Question: Would you read and comment on a poem about Poinsettias!?
Altars and homes
lined with poinsettias
red, white and pink
holiday plant of choice
a splendid tradition
meant literally
older name of plant
being euphorbia
or splendens
thus splendid
Times advance
terminology does too
family name became
euphorbiaceae
better known as
spurge, which can mean
to purge or free from
impurities
Interestingly enough
the crown of thorns is of
same family, so are you
now getting the point of
this poinsettia poem!?
That at this time we
honor Christ's birth
we deck the halls with
kin of very same plant
used to twist and weave
to form crown of thorns
placed upon head of the
