i made a poem about poverty
sitting in class thinking about people in need
25,000 people die every day because of hunger
Why do the rich start wars when its only the poor who bleed !?
Can't we stop forced marriages with girls who are at least 20 years younger !?
why should any of us complain when your life is so imperfect in a perfect way
Lets change the world and knockout poverty once and for all
Its time to give water to the 4000 thirsty children who die each day
can we stop and listen to the other 66% of the world population's call
Its ok to have houses, cars and Ipods too
We should become more then one and help put a poor child through school
We need to fight corruption and fight for a free world we hope to dream and pursue
4/10 children in developing countries do not exist, why is our world so cruel !?
Its ok to obses over school, parties, dating, getting drunk and getting high
Its time to stop bonded wages and 3 cent hourly wages
If you were in their shoes, would you cry or ask yourself why
Lets change the world once and for all and remember this generation ages
