Oh you pious souls, I long to be one of you!.
I wish I could claim to be so shallow and in
That ignorant bliss as you who listen to men
In holy garbs claiming to holier than thou!.
Up and down and down and up and crawl you
Fools on painful knees to kiss the feet of a
Statue to assure your place in Paradiso, or
Rather purgatorio, if such a place exists!.
Float your boat and drink from the holy trough
And moo like the cow; the follower, the obedient,
And drink the holy milk!. Sanctus! Sanctus!
Now venture to Verona and place your praying
Hand upon the breast of Juliet that you may be
Lucky in love, and on to Milano to place your
Heel on the balls of the bull and spin your body
For the same reason as you placed your hand
On the brass worn breast of the fairytale lady
Much to the disgust of God who may laugh at
This assinine lore!. Show your faith, and may

Gosh, Why don't you try picking up a bible!? Everything that people put against religion can be proved through the bible!. We can't just ask God to go to heaven you have to earn it!. You can't test him thats in the bible to!. Read the bible, understand it, before you go and make fun of my religion and everyone elses!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

good poem, i disagree with you about religious people being fools as that is plainly not true, the fact is when it come to interllect eveybodys ignorance is greater then there intelligence and thats never more true then when asking ones self the question, whats meaning of life!. i think faith is a kind of intuition, their go with how they feel, which makes as much sense as going with what you think given the fact that neither is lightly to be corect!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
