CREATION OF MIND
Dark night kept me awake,
My mind whirling without ease,
Subconsciously it continued to work,
Naturally, as the hours passed by,
Quietude and turmoil spoke as if in soliloquy,
Borrowing words from the Oxford dictionary!.

Glued by awesome silence,
Not to earn my sleeping partner’s wrath,
The brainwaves continued to vibrate,
Words like a stream continued to flow,
Like one was milking my conscience!.

The graciousness of the Almighty,
Reveals to me in my dreams’ visions,
Those yet to seed come so vividly,
Involuntarily the brain continues to knit,
Entwining words stolen from a dictionary!.

My ego makes me feel immensely guilty,
Reality stands evidence as for my cheating,
How I crave, neigh plead, not to steal,
But coin words from my own urn,
As my inspiration,
Newer words into poetry does churn!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Alrighty then!.!.!. I accept!. Here is one of my newer pieces, "Unknown"!.

Blinding lights, flittering like fireflies
Dancing before my wearied eyes,
Taunting me, calling me
Shoving me closer to the edge!.!.!.
Obstructing my way so I cannot escape!.

For who knows what lurks within the depths
Of the ravine I now tower above!?
What monstrosities await me there
Within the pits of untimely despair!.!.!.

Do I dare to leap,
To become one with the unknown!?
Do I dare to sleep,
For fear of being blown away with the wind!?

The enemy approaches ever so silently
Drawing nearer to my turned back!.!.!.
And I fall into the abyss of my worst nightmares,
A new addition to the array of naive romantics!.!.!.
Experiencing the unknown!.

Though I know what to expect,
It still twists into situational irony!.!.!.
I know the unknown,
But the known is unknown to me!.
I continually fall, expectedly!.!.!.
How unexpectedly expected of the death of me!.

Falling, falling for eternity,
No hope of reaching solid ground again!.
Yet I do not wish to trod the earth,
For it would surely swallow me alive!.

Falling, falling for eternity,
Without a doubt of where it will lead me!.
Farther and farther into the unknown!.!.!.
And strangely enough,
I feel right at home!.

You scare me not

Whether you wish
the charms of rhymed
the power of a sonnet
the crudeness of a limerick
the power of an epic
The pith of a two-liner or
the banality of a greeting card

You scare me notWww@QuestionHome@Com
