Self Expression
I'm starting to see, you don't like how I'm living
Why aren't you happy with what I am giving
I give and I give but you say it is nothing
It's not what you want but at least it is something
Scared and you're aching, cause you see me like this
You know my story, but something was missed
You say that I follow to be a part of the crowd
Only because my self expression is not allowed
You think that I'm wrong because of all that you see
We both have our thoughts but we never agree
You said you were young, so you must know it all
You claim we're the same but did you ever fall!?
You simply replied, “We all have bad days!.”
I roll my back my eyes, would you just go away
You speak of your fear of death after me
I'm suicidal, but why don't you see
I'm grasping my anger and providing a cause
It's my motivation, to break free of my flaws
But I yes I'm aware that you don't understand
Pain and suffering was all part of the plan
It's making me strive to be the best I can be
It's opening doors to things I didn't get to see
It's making me stronger and better prepared
For the life that's ahead, that has me real scared
But why must we argue if the fight is now done
You don't need to worry about the death of your son
You see things one way and it's different from me
But the truth of it all is that I will not be
What you expected!.!.!.
I'm lost and confused, my mind is now shattered
But all these emotions don't really matter
They're a part of my life, and they're emotions I need
Without them I could never proceed
Why don't you get that!?
