Question: Speaking of cats, is this oldie for the birds!?
Whoopee and Finchy
by Aunt Elaine P

What's the matter with that cat!?
What is this!? What is that!?
Scurrying earlier, pouncing later,
Jumping on the refrigerator!?

"Meow, meow, haven't you heard
Mommy went and bought a bird,
It cheeps, it chirps, it drives me crazy,
Whenever I feel calm and lazy!."

Chirped the bird, "I like to sing,
But you don't do ‘most anything,
Wake up, cat and hear me cheep,
You spend too much time asleep"

Then Mommy said, "that's enough, you two,
I'm getting sick of both of you!."
So Cat said, "meow," which meant "let's play,"
And Bird said, "chirp," which means "okay!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Beauty of a poem!. I must be in a strange mood after two days of fevers and chills, it reminded me of a poem I haaven't read in over 40 years!.
The gingham dog and the calico cat,
side by side on the table sat!.

Now I must go back into my books and find it again!.
Thank you for the read and the memory!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When my cat gave mom's bird a heart attack, she (creative as she is), put my cat in the bird cage and let him "stew" for a few hours!. up there hanging from ceiling!. He didn't so much as look at the new bird when it came!. Cute poem!. Thumbs up!Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Let's play" That must have been a lazy cat!
My son's family lost two birds, via two different sneaky, fast cats!.
