Question: Would you comment on this winter poem!?

Father with daughter
peering out window
watching wet snow fall
ruining fun planned day
in 5 year old's eyes
he sees death of a dream
remembering himself
at that age

with wink in his eye
he sweeps her in arms
invites her to start
getting dressed
"I'll show you
what to do
on a day such as this!"

bundled tight in winter clothes
little one watches with glee
as burly father lifts face to the sky
and bellows a victorious cheer
"HA HA, nasty snow, we LAUGH at you!
Come on, Katie, laugh at the snow with me!"

Inside I watch
from kitchen window
as father teaches daughter
valuable life lesson
the best way to defeat
one's adversary
is to laugh
wholeheartedly
in their face

While I might not necessarily believe that the "best way to defeat ones adversary is to laugh wholeheartedly!.!.!." is always the case, there are times that this is the best option (and this appears to be one of those times)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think this one paints a good picture and makes a very good point!.!.!.!.!.I enjoyed reading it!. I am not keen on snow, myself!.!.!.!.but I know I can't really "complain" about it!.!.!.!.as we don't get a lot of snow here!.

It is a hard thing to remember but - even disappointments are an opportunity!. To be taught this lesson when young - should set one prepared for life - we hope - but then again - disappointments do surely come!. ?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Good of the dad to know that winter is just part of the seasons and that he knows that with the right clothes one can have fun outdoors in any kind of weather!.!. !.!.Especially important if little Katie and her family lived here in now snowy Canada, where it would be impossible to stay scooped up indoors for nearly 5 months!.!. because that's how long snow will be on the ground here!.!. Since yesterday!.!. it has been snowing and I am sure it will be continuing more or less and also get colder a lot until in early April the snow melts!.!. So there is always a white Christmas in countries such as Canada!.!. and it's good to make the best out of it!.!. one can have fun in the snow if one bundles up properly and afterwards a cup of hot chocolate for Katie and some mulled wine for mom and dad or some eggnog!.!.!.and perhaps a logfire!.!.!.

A nice warm home!.!. and looking out on the snow!.!. and to wear colorful clothes to cheer oneself up!.!. besides!.!. one would be invisible if one would wear white!.!. in winter wonderland!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
