Just a little while ago, I saw a common user here (yes, I'm aware that could be taken two ways, but both are correct) issue a ridiculous challenge to Iano!. She simply must be reasoned with!.!.!.

If you were one more prone to writing real verse
Instead of gesturing with hands on hips,
If you were one who’d chosen not to immerse
Yourself in placing on your shoulder chips,
If you had not twice beckoned so and taunted
One vastly better darling than yourself
And waited then upon your corner haunted
I’d not have thought you such a mental elf!.

If you had not stood there and made a foul show
With all your senseless muttering and squeals,
If you had not so well shown all you don’t know
To this assembled troupe of barking seals,
If you had not played injured soul to your horde
Of blind and eager suitors, swains, and fools
You might have led a better, brighter group toward
The acquisition of poetic tools!.

If you had been perhaps a little smarter
And not twice posted such a pile of crap,
If you had then been better dear, not tarter,
You’d not have played into this rhyming trap!.
Indeed, if you had thought first and retreated
And realized that you’d look base and trite
Then I could not so roundly have defeated
Your imbecilic challenge here tonight!.

My dear I’m certain now that you are steaming
Just like the pile of sentences you wrote
You can’t defeat me toots, you must be dreaming,
Your poetry is but a Post-It Note!.
I’m sorry dear if you are disappointed
But let me tell you plainly little miss,
Before I am dethroned and you’re anointed
