Question: Do you like poems about friendships!?
My Best Friend
by Rainbow

My best friend
Is like a pot of gold
At the end of the rainbow
She has so many riches in her
She gives unto me
That no amount of money can
She is like a precious gem
Adorned around the neck
She shines more beautifully
Than the most expensive diamond
She is my cheerleader
Always hoping for the better for me
As things tend to be overly cluttered
She is the bright light
At the end of the tunnel
Always there
When I need her
And she does it tirelessly
She is my comedienne
Always looking to share
What makes her laugh
She is like a link
Through her I gained
A couple people to call
Family
Most important of all
She is like a walking shamrock
Like a rainbow
For friends like her
Is rarer than rainbows
But she makes me feel lucky

A 1-2!. I think yours is pretty terrible!. It is doggerel!. You really need to read more poetry if you want to become a poet!.

You have some good ideas, but this is very immature!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

A beautiful ode by one inspired, wonderfully written by one so smitten!.

Mine is dark and gloomy, as am I!.

He stands a mighty rock, crumbles as so much dust
This golden child of celestial dawn
Embroiled amidst an earthly scorn
Bruised, wounded, in angers lore, rages!.
In anger immense, a show of pretence, fury
As light in world of darkness abides itself
In search of light!. The morning Sun
Beams brighter in foreign skies, belies
Its wounded heart, with smarts
With indignation of a refrains so wantonly
Administered to others of deemed greater worth!.
What is light but darkness lit, and warmth but melted cold
The eternal flame, disdains os past inflicts incurred
The word of Lord is light indeed!.
He scorns, of expose illumined to mind and sees all
So enthralled and worldly given in one so
Withholding of a warmth spared for other souls!.
Is it a path, or goal, a shoal of lions mane
Refrain from, comment or conjecture passed
It is life, then love and Moon and Sun!.
In angers ire we bless not they for whom life we sacrifice!.
Pours scorn upon my woe, have made your home in other worlds
I who cannot voice complaint of what I endure,
So eager to cast blame and aspersions of my lot
I who lived commendably submerged in hellish fire
And he who sees not but heavenly light, or a burning desire!.
For want, for need for ardency in the begetting
Of a freedom ungained, or chains of gilded gold
To love nor to hold, sold for a song, a bitter symphony !.!.!.
And in raging, a wager of pascal’s dare not voice of choice or men!.
Reluctant Gods and earthly hod’s carrying weights of woe
Have come far and yet have so far to go!.
A home, a a hearth, the heart!.
