How far is heaven!?
The Book of Proverbs
Stare into the brown eyes
Of a deeply broken soul
Who is heartbroken to have to admit
"I am far from perfect"
A well is made in my eyes
At the thought of the song
O Come All Ye Faithful
Comes to mind
Oh how I wish
I can touch the cloak of Jesus
To be made healed and newly blameless
Just to be made worthy
To come and adore Him
For my past sins
Is my ball and chain
Though I struggle to better myself
The ball and chain refuse to detach itself
From me
Wanting to mock me
And to make me feel worthless
But God lets me know
I shall never give up on myself
And that I'm a strong fighter
Fit to fight the good fight
In the spiritual marathon
If God believes in me
Why is it so hard for me to
Believe in myself
Like He does!?
