O, LAMBS IN MOONLIGHT
by Glenn Robert Swetman
Ridiculous gleeb-chomping sheep
wrapped in warm amusing scruff
frolic on burnt-matchstick legs
like multiple cotton swabs enchanted!.
O, Snow-covered Furze Bushes,
Albino Tumble Weeds, Live Sugarspun Candy,
Santa Beards, merry and detached—
frolic on that dying green!.
For comes the season you must still your scampering
to lie beside the cradle of an infant god
or be served sweet with mint—
as the ticktock of eternity demands!.
