Question: How about some simple Christmas Haiku!?
Slow winter nights
Orange fires pop and burn
We sit stare and glow

Long silver tinsel
Draped across our Christmas tree
Sparkles and shines

Red decorations
Affixed and perfectly placed
Waiting for the day

Popcorn cranberries
Woven through blue spruce branches
Winter birds welcome

Under the covers
Expensive diamonds glitter
Warm magic happens

On cold nights somewhere
This dream will never happen
Fire, war, terror, death

It is cold outside
But I'm warm on the inside
Finally I'm home

I'll name this one - A Soldier's Winter LeaveWww@QuestionHome@Com

These five Haiku bring one closer to Christmas no matter where it is spent or under what conditions!. Yet haiku five brings to us the reality that Christmas is not all that it should be, for not everyone has the same feeling at this joyous occasion!. Yet out of the ashes will rise that that great bird and Christmas will once again be as it should be!.
Though not a particular fan of the Haiku, I recognize talent when I read it!.
