Question: Can you read a tale of horror!? Thanks!.!?
This is the way it is!.
This was what fate handed me for
The dead peer at me with bloodied
Phantom eyes in my slumber
Gripping with clawed hands at my
Blankets, pulling as I fight and scream
Unheard screams praying to wake as
I call for God to save me!. Screaming,
Trying to wake; I can't move!. I can't remove
Myself from my bed for the floor; the floor
Is covered with blood; a still lake of black blood!.
Black, darkness, no thoughts except of the
End of a life living nightmares!.
I pray for the end, The end!. For it is oblivion!.
The end, black, all black like the stained
Blood covered room, and I with blackened feet!.
Six feet under in the cold ground, black, no air,
Suffocation!. That is blessing in comparison!.
At long last the time comes to enter the
Darkness and remove the coins from my
Eyes to pay the boatman so I may cross
The River and join my brothers of the battlefield!.
Eternal Sleep came to me in my lifes horror
Without the dreams of killing and broken bodies,
Murdering, tormenting me in my waking hours!.
Am I awake!? awake, thinking only of sleep!? Sleep with
Thoughts of nothingness, hoping, praying that
Happiness was not just a dream, just a thought
When I can rest eternal; sleep!. Sleep that beautiful sleep!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This has a lot of potential!. The only thing that bothers me is the contrast of first being in bed (which almost seems a bit too mundane) the very strong images of the ferryman on the river Styx and the images of the battlefield!. Might it be possible to omit (or change) some of the beginning to make the whole thing a bit more coherent!? Focusing more of the imagery on myth would make it stronger in my opinion, even though it might limit your audience a bit!.

"For the floor" and "for it is oblivion" seem a bit dated to me!. But it works well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
