Question: Opinion on a poem I wrote, called "sidewalk"!?
Sidewalk
Sitting on the sidewalk as darkness comes to sight,
watching headlights drift by as cars hum along!.
Seeing people and hearing voices,
the words are whispered so soft that I can't make out a meaning!.
Thinking to myself how funny it is to view the world from this angle,
watching from a busy walkway as life dances by!.
One last bird soars the sky,
its black wings bright against the dark blue canavas!.
Looking on to see the gleaming stars,
impossible to compare their brilliance to the many city lights!.
Leaves blow by as the wind continues its steady whistle,
while mountain peaks stretch far into the sky!.
The moon glows its ivory color as the North Star guides our world,
always leading us in one direction; becoming our compass!.
Who knew we could learn so much,
just by watching the endless activities of the night!.
Sit by my side and fill your head with what you see,
taking a moment to view this life a different way!.!.
Life is a peice of art, filled with colors and emotions,
open your eyes to the images around you!.

Wow, that was pretty intense!. Your poem makes me thoughtful, and I think you did an awesome job on depicting the picture painted in your head!. I thought i was pretty good, but not perfect!. It made me feel very open-minded, like i usually don't notice stuff that now i might be more appreciative of!. I thought it was a very good idea but in the beginning of the poem you are very metaphorical, and at the end you are too, but every now and then you slip!. you want to stay steady in are you using technical terms or metaphors!. Just something to think about!. Otherwise very good!Www@QuestionHome@Com
i think it is wonderful!. It has a peaceful, calming feeling in it, like you have all the time in the world and you should enjoy it!. it is a great poem and i like the personification and metaphor and symbolism in it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
What I liked about it was it made you see things from a different perspective, and it actually brought me back to a memory a few summers ago when I was much younger!. You are good at creating emotion, good job!Www@QuestionHome@Com
this poem made me feel sad but somewhat happy it was a great poem!. this amazing t relaxed me so much!. all my troubles went away like i have a project due tommrow and i have it oly half done!. it is such a relaxing poem!. keep it up!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
