Question: Can a walk in the park bring poetic inspiration!?
Mano-a-Deo (Praise in the Park)

Beneath a shady tree young soul stands in obedience,
bicycle abandoned, her conduit to here,
oblivious to grass, sun, passersby

Eyes closed, fixed, transcendental smile,
arms raised to the heavens, hoping to receive!.
Ear-phoned and wired, beaded, Gypsy-like!.

Mouthing words to the God of her choice,
swaying to an alternate rhythm,
in a world of her own, a parallel universe!.

Praising the air to the beat of another’s drum!.
Blissfully unaware, yet connected!.
Rhythm changes, she contorts, gesticulates

Waves her arms over, around her body
like a magician’s mystical hands distracting!.
Temple of prayer, praise and unabashed self-expression!.

Dancing before the virtual throne of her Chosen Being!.
From this earth, but not of it, for this short time!.
No fear, only faith, one-to-one, Mano-a-Deo

Sun shines, wind blows, time moves slowly,
while disconnected earth-bound, life-forces hurry by!.

Inspiration is everywhere, anywhere, and in everything!. What you have seen is what others try to deny, a moment where someone stands and says I am unafraid!. You have captured this moment with your words and stated the same thing!.

You are a poet!.
You are unafraid!.
For you have seen, then shown!.
Is that not the definition of fearlessness!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like this--ignoring the existing beauty for the beauty of what you call 'a parallel universe!.' The context of this poem could be the subject of an interesting debate!.

Yes it can!. I've went to the park and just sat quietly and wore from what I saw!. The trees, the plants!. the grass, the people, the cars driving by!. The park is good inspiration because it's a very natural setting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is one of your best, Jellz!. Publishable quality!. I thought of Tai Chi straight away, because I often see some people doing it in the local park!. It makes the whole park more serene and lovely, fitting in so well!.
