Play music, if you can, listen if you can't!. But make sure it's music!. Music is something you enjoy, not endure!. Listen to ballads, folk music, bluegrass, classical!. It all has poetic elements that will stimulate you!. If not, try getting a paper route!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like your question and you’ve explained it well!. I identify!.
The problem is, for whatever reasons, you are arguing with what your mind is telling your body to do!.

1!. Probably, you are wondering if something is wrong because you are tired of writing!. [It isn’t]
2!. You probably feel that you are letting your friends, whom are very close to you down, by leaving the site for a while!. [you aren’t, they will manage]
3!. also, it may be that time passes so quickly when you are reading and commenting that you have no time or energy left to put into your own writing!.
4!. It may be that you want to accomplish other goals and Qs have become a hindrance!.

Whatever the reasons are, you must listen to your heart!. We are all different!. Some writer’s feel they must write every day, even if they have to force-feed!. Many can write everyday without forcing it!. And many feel as I do!. I write for long and or short periods when the writing mood is flowing!. And when that happens, sporadically I visit Qs!.

However, many times, I’ve been so empty that I felt nothing more was in me to write!. I felt that I would never write another poem, another story, or another song!. But the flow does return unexpectedly, and usually overwhelmingly!.

It’s okay to leave your friends, because they are your friends!. New and old ones will be here when you want to return!. I hope you can do it and make it stick!. It is a tough decision because evidentially you are sensitive and caring!.

If I didn’t write chapters when commenting, I could more easily live in both the virtual and the real worlds!. Elyslund said it well in fewer words!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Completely understandable!. I take a break from those activities and hobbies I enjoy most, just for a change of pace, if nothing else!. Just to remove the cobwebs from sitting so long, you understand!.

What should you do!? Wow!. Pretty much anything your heart desires!.!.!.

Read a book; go to the movies; watch some classic movies on television (I have been trying to catch the great silent films in TCM's collection for a few months now); go to a spa--or just get a mani/pedi, get your hair curt or redone, go buy a new outfit or just window shop, seek out and try a week's worth of new recipes; play Solitaire or whip out the old board or video games and hang out with people you find fun; have a home concert day and listen to a full roster of songs you appreciate; go to church; stroll through a park; feed the pigeons; go to the zoo; or!.!.!.

Try something that is not listed here!.

Have you ever played the Sims!?

Whether you get away for a few minutes, hours, days, or weeks, do something you will enjoy, or try something you were always interested in, but too busy to do anything about!.

Whatever you do while you are on hiatus, I hope you have a great time, and that you and your poetry will return--refreshed--very soon!.

Hope I helped!.
God bless you!.

If you are tired of writing poetry you are in serious trouble my friend!.
To be tired of writing poetry your heart must hold a bubble and your bonce a little bend!.
When one is tired of writing poetry one should take up another pen
Retire at once, to your shed or den, and there write prose beyond your ken!.
If your tired of writing poetry then to hospital you must go, for a scan is needed, oh yes indeeded, I'm sorry for the pun - but the rhyme must come, that's my final sum of the situation now
For if your tired of writing poetry and tired of questions too then it is prose or doze or chant or pant or he or she who can't or shant or must or dust in brain or pain in sin or fin of shark deep in the dark you mark my words and see the birds on wing and branch at South fork Ranch in Texas wide they're on our side so we are told (they're very bold)
So lay your weary head on pillow stretched in comfort 'neath a willow and when your muse it doth return then dip your pen in crimson burn and with your brain all full renewed in spirit bright and rude return here to your spirit home and answer, write to fill a tome!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
