The poem is a clever celebration of the earthly miracles we have in life!. It shows the limits of man's sight compared to God's sight!. It reveals the potential that heaven offers!. The potential for sin can be seen in the frowning man!. But the last two thirds stresses redemption!. The smiling woman is a potential heavenly angel!. The crying child of course is Jesus-- crying because it is his sins and pain He carries-- a child because His sacrifice makes us reborn in God's eye!. Notice the prayer "Lord I pray/!.!.!.!.!."Help me, I'm seeing things!" comes in the exact middle of the poem, just as prayers to Jesus would be in proper ACTS form!. The answer is a revelation of the way God has always worked!. It is new because man is now seeing it in the true light of God's sight!. A simple poem with complicated thoughts!. It awes with it simple revelation!. So it is both a great prayer and a great poem!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
