Question: How about a Universal Truth!?
No poem, here!.
Only smoke signals from my cigarette that say nothing,
nothing!. If it could, the smoke would never rise,
it would stay curled in front of me; an assumption
of personification!.

Lately and as of late many of us
have been reading and posting and veiling
our intentions or our feelings!.
I am no different!.
This is not a poem!.
This is a guiltless confession!.
I read
a lot of poetry on this site
and some of what I read,
I hate!.
Some of what I read,
I treasure!.
I am unclean as I read the pieces
that are posted!.
A frame of reference that keeps me in perspective!.
I am not writing poems
when I respond with an answer!.
I am confessing
to your question!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This "unpoem" is so human and tender and earthy that I am once again overwhelmed by your writing!. There is certainly universal truth in what you have written, and in what you write!. I am also humbled by and grateful for your gift and your hard work and look forward to the book when it comes out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's freeing to wear a cloak of honesty and individuality,
not worrying about acceptance!. I have never been rude, hurtful nor spiteful, in fact I have only posted 3 poems!. Yet by stating my truth of how I see things here in one and by setting my own ground rules in the other, already the top 2 poets of mars have responded in negative tones, one even thinking me possibly to be Iano!.!.!.!.

My Universal Truth in response to your honest post!? There is a much, much bigger world out there than on mars, the poets of mars need to get a grip, their world is not the only one and this site is meant to be a place for all, not just them!.

And yes, I used the word "just," shall I now be doubly banned!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dave, as a professional Editor for many years of both prose and poetry, I can say unequivocally that almost anything you say rings like poetry, whether it is set in lines or paragraphs!.

I told one of the poets once that 'humility is not an option!.' Reading the poems that will appear in your forthcoming book often makes me feel humble!. I am confessing to your answer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I just came in from having a smoke, ready to pound the keys!.!.!.!.
with words not so politically correct as these, but just as direct!.
I confess, this post has gripped me!.

Unveiling nonconformist views immediately puts one under suspect and then a false label they must wear!.

Play nice and one is revered, dissent and one is ostracized!.
I speak only for myself, yet this too I say without guilt!.!.!.
the joy of posting has lost its shine, in fact, all light has dimmed!.

I have learned more about poetry from reading you and a few others than I can recall from my school days!.!.!.of Honours English!.
And I have learned a few things I consider 'truths!.'
-Write to please yourself!. No matter how good or bad you are, there will always be someone better or worse than you!.
- I read your writing, poetry or prose and I can SEE images in my mind!. To me that makes a powerful impression!.
-There will also always be someone who doesn't like your writing and will tear it apart!.!.or report it so it gets deleted!.
- There are some good people out there who truly are trying to help with advice/suggestions and feedback!. They know the difference between constructive criticsm and criticism for its own sake!.
- Yahoo doesn't give a damn about its users, only that they get revenue from the ads!. They are far too blind to see if they have no users, they have no ad revenue!.
- the final truth is!.!.I don't give a damn anymore!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
