I need some academic opinions to support my topic! Here are my arguments: 1!. Poetry is a better way to express!. 2!. Poetry is more accessible!. Whereas with poetry it is not so much a need for talent, all you need is a topic and you can go from there!. With Painting the meaning or emotions of each canvas aren't always that obvious, with poetry it is there to be conveyed in a simple and majestic way!. And with poetry you can feel a connection with the words on the page, whereas with painting you can't always feel a connection!. Visual people, for example would tell you that they express themselves - and understand others - much better through painting!. Painting, like poetry is accessible through art books, which are available at any public library!. In addition, there are many videos and DVD's about art!. I'd rethink the presentation!. They can relate better to one way than the other!. also, it's important to note that good poems often paint pictures in the minds of the audience!. Poems allow the reader to create their own vision rather than being told what to "see!." Just take a stand one way or the other!.!.!. it doesn't matter which side you pick!. Finally, check out ecphrastic poetry!. There's a big movement now to write poems based upon art and pair them beside one another at art shows!. Hope some of this helps!
