INEVITABLE DEATH
I am an empty soul,
Echoing the crashes
of childish love!.
Oh, how it was easy,
To give, to live, to be
To smile, to frown, to cry
Never bothered by
Inevitable death, or
By shattered glass!.
Scraped knees and
Spilt milk were
The entirety of
Our troubles!.
But with every
Second, minute, hour
We lose that
Shield that protects
Soft, flawless skin
From the world!.
Wishes are replaced
With bruises and scars
Hidden by long sleeves!.
Each drop in the bathtub,
Blood and tears,
Goes down the drain
For all the times we
Could have saved, could
Have been saved!.
No time for regrets,
Though, when clocks
Like bombs are
Watching, even when
You’re screaming in
Pain!.

But then who would
