They were not accepted by the critics during their lifetimes!. Their greatness was accepted, sometimes many years after their deaths!. The artist is the creator; the editor is the critic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com The artist!. But, when the artist creates a style, others follow!. Until there are new artists on the scene who invent new forms!. Art critics have their hands in this process!. In the 60s-70s, poetry was quite different than it is today, and accepted and applauded!. Slowly, it evolved into a different kind, and the others were rejected!. It is definitely created by the artist, then the critic picks it up, and expects all other artists to follow in that path!.
