There are many ways to take this (well, probably less than four), and I would like to know where you take it, if anywhere at all!.

Captain eyeball has locked your letters
in the white room for now
and you cringe at the shadow
of allusion this impostor has
flung!.
Your mechanical manacles are rotting
at the bottom of a wishing
well!.
CHORUS: Give me a sign!
waiting for
fortitude to drop the bucket
and draw the chains back
into the light
of a sold-out
show!.

Somebody of authority(dead or alive)is watchin your ever move and you are scared that he might come back!. This authority figure is already dead but you are afraid!. You thought that your life was over but it hasnt died yet!.This person caused you great pain!. and you are waiting for you soul to be revived out of the pit of the well!. The sign is there but you arent willing to grab on to it!.The light is there but you are afraid to grasp the chain of light!. The show is over now its up to you to rise above it!. I have no idea what this means, but I like it!. The only thing I'm not so keen on is the CHORUS: parts!. I don't think there's any need to say that and it distracts from the poem!.
