Question: Where can I submit a teen poem for money!?

So I'm 17 and I have a great poem about sad teen love, and another about high school!.!. I don't want to put them up because anyone can just copy and paste it and claim it as their own!. So anyways, I wanna enter in a contest and possibly win some money!.!.!.does anyone know any honest sites!? I heard poetry!.com is a scam!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Poetry!.com is a scam!.
And there is a very limited market for poetry of any kind!.

If you find a magazine that will accept poetry, they usually pay in "contributor copy", which means a few copies of the magazine!.

The ones who pay cash usually pay a couple of cents a word, but limit how many lines a poem can be, or a flat rate ranging from a few dollars to a few hundred!.

The best poets out there all have day jobs, like teaching!. Maya Angelou can't support herself with poetry, and she's one of the best known!.

But check out the Writer's Guide!. They publish a yearly reference listing publishers, and magazines!. Your local library might have a copy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you want to somewhat copy right your material!. You have it date stamped and then mail a certified copy back to yourself!. This way if it is stolen you can prove when you wrote it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
