I wrote this a long time ago!. People seem to think that I stole it from somewhere, but this poem is all original! I may have heard something akin to it when I was a kid, but I don't know!. Therefore, these are soley my words, from my own mind, all made up by me! This is a kind of kiddy poem/story!. I love it so much that I wanted to share it with everyone!. Thank you and enjoy!.
THE CAT AND THE MOUSE
Once upon a time in huge red house,
There lived a tiny, little gray mouse!.
The mouse had glasses and peaky shoes!.
He had a balcony with amazing views!.
One day he set out to take a walk!.
But there was no one out to whome he could talk!.
He walked about two miles or three
He lost his glasses, so he could not see!.
He sensed, thought, that a cat was on his trail!.
So he seized up his little pink tail!.
He could smell the cat from far away!.
The cat hadn't had anything to eat that day!.
He sped up a little, certain he'd get home!.
But the cat was gaining, he was afraid for his dome!.
The mouse turned around with fear in his eyes!.
He looked at the cat, and stated this reply,
"Oh, please, Cat, don't eat me, I beg of you!.
I have little ones at home, not one, but two!.
I'll do anything that you ask of me!.
Just let me go, and I'll leave peacefully!."
The cat eyed the mouse up and down!.
Then his smile faded and turned to a frown!.
"Oh, dear Mouse, are you afriad of me!?
I never intended to eat you, honestly!.
I just wanted to come up and say Hi!
And make a friend!.
I just want a friend who whould last till the very end!.
I'm terribly lonely and I couldn't hurt a fly!.
People just deem that!." What his reply!.
The mouse let down his guard in simpathy!.
He thought, 'This cat wishes to be friends with me!?'
He informed the cat that he had no life!.
He had no son, no daughter, no wife!.
Like the cat, all he desired was a friend!.
And at that moment, he couldn't pretend!.
He had wanted a friend for years to come
And finally, on that glorious day, he had found one!.
