It is a wonderful nonet, and I agree, when writing it is better to not use foul words that clunk!. At least that is my take on what you wrote!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, seeing as you asked, I don't think the use of the word 'foul' works in line 2 for the following reasons!. Namely, although strictly speaking a one syllable word, most people tend to pronounce it with two, so it gives this line an extra beat!. 'Above our planet's atmosphere' or 'Above our fair Earth's atmosphere' seem to flow more smoothly to me!. also, I think a lot of people would dispute your generalization of our atmosphere as 'foul', so the description is a tad arbitrary!. Therefore, as the word 'foul' clunks in your use of it, you really haven't followed your own Nonet's advice in my humble opinion!. Hope this is of help!.
