What do you think of my poem"my golden angel"!?
yesterday was my dogs b-day and in 7 weeks will be our anniversary he was given away over 2 months ago and i wrote this poem for him i want to know what you think!?
My Golden Angel
Your fur so soft, so velvety, so smooth
I remember the day we met
So small, So innocent you were with that sharp canine tooth
I never knew it was you we were going to get
You saved me from all the sadness and tears
Your dark eyes,so black against your blond white fur
Loosing you became the greatest of my fears
your name i used to call and to that you would purr
Your paws out of proportion with your body
you grew so quickly, so fast time flew
You were always so cute even though you were naughty
Just sit there and stare as i drew
Tears pour down my face as i write this
You were taken away ,almost 2 months since you left
I never said goodbye, or gave you one last kiss
I sit here in silence ,was it for the best!?
Your birthday is today
I will remember you as My Golden Angel
Our anniversary but a few weeks away
You were there and always there when I fell
Every tear , Every drop reminds me of you
I would sit here and cry and you would too
Your smell, your breath ever ball that we threw
can no longer be, it has the memory of you
Do you remember me!?
The girl you once knew
I imagine you running wild and free
Everyday i see your vision is it really you!?

how I miss you No words can replenish the emptiness i try to hide
you made me feel so wanted and left me Merry
With you i knew i had a friend forever deep inside
I remember now the moments we shared together
and laugh about times When you used to nip at my ankle
as I tried to escape from your playful bite
The knowledge you brought me along with the wrongs and the right
My how the years seem to have flown by so fast
not ever knowing where you are or where i saw you last
At times when I felt so alone and YOU crept into my bed put your head on my chest
and licked me with such an empathy and knowing
You put Me at ease and allowed me to rest
Or when I returned from school and there you were in the window!
Paw patting against the glass and tail waging in excited ecstasy
That sweet look on your face knowing you loved me ,that i could see
How did you know!? was it an instinct within you
or was it a simple act of kindness to get me through!?
I may never know why But what you did for me
contributed to who I am today and for that i was proud to be, for what seemed so shortlived your owner and your friend!
What else can one say!?
Except that I am sure you were a God send
In all that i do and all that I am, I'm reminded of you of how I once had a pup who loved and brought comfort to me on each lonesome day

I love animals and so POEMS about them shows real love and friendship within it
I really loved your poem though!
it was far better than mine
but MINE came from my own heart and my own experiences with my dog!
