Question: Hey, who turned out the lights!?
Dedicated to a Friend to Many

A light is gone
from this darkened hall
where candles raised
by poets illuminate!.
His brave light
flickered despite
winds which blew against it!.
All the while knowing
the wick grew shorter,
still courageously
he burned to his own end!.
Yes, other candles
still burn!.!.!.
to some his absence
is barely felt!.
But to those
who were drawn
to his own special flame
who lingered in its warmth
even for just a
breath of time,
they will remember
being
in its presence!.
As the smoke rises
to the rafters,
their eyes follow
upward
with earnest gratitude!.

You are a beautiful poet Sue!. I'm sure your friend would think so too!.

I think that's true, that sometimes after people die their presence is missed by many but after a while the hurt can disappear or it can last a lifetime!. Even so, life must go on and the person's absence will sometimes forgotten!. Its a sad thing, I wish it wasn't like that!. Its kind of true in my life too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I really hope that he sees this, that he knows how much his presence meant to many people here!. I especially love "His brave light flickered despite winds which blew against it!." So true, and so beautifully stated!. You are so compassionate in all that you write, and this is no exception!. Thank you!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is another great poem from your pen!.!.!.you're on a roll, obviously!.
I can't write when I'm sad and down, only when I'm happy and uplifted!.
At the moment Winter is approaching, and dark mornings and dark evenings are the norm!.!.!.!.hence my Muse has migrated somewhere where the sun is shining!.

THAT WAS A GOOD POEM!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I second that!. well said!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I was a loiterer!.
I had few words
Most of the the time, I had none!.
As I read and reread
All the words he said
Cried most of the time,
He spoke the feelings I had forgot
Inside my head, inside my heart
Yet who was he, he knew me not!?

I let him go, so much insight
In his light, so many nights
Of reading all of his writes
Weight so heavy I couldn't bear
The pain I held, was tribal
Although he wanted me there

We met again when he wanted to know
What people would say, if he wrote something cheery
I remember I told him
That I'd think he'd probably gotten laid!.
He laughed at that, which was the right thing to do!.
The rest, is his and mine!. It has been a very fine time
Indeed, We always have a mighty fine time

I am from Mars you know
I wrote some words and watched them grow
I still have very few and sometimes I have none
I linger still, and with you I watch the smoke rise
I inhale it now like you all should do
To hydropro I say thank you too!.
