The more I think about it the more it dawns on me
this ain’t the land of the free
the cost is your soul
to keep young black males down is their goal
like Tupac said lady liberty needs a pair of glasses
can she see them out here starving
needing food shelters
no she just see people like bush and Cheney getting richer
while there heads get thicker
they have no souls to sale
as a matter of fact they are in debt
so tell me what will you do in this so called “land of the free”
when you have to sale your soul for freedom
and even after that you strictly limited
they don’t want your mind to grow
they just want these young black males to kill each others
while totting 44’s
for more cash in their pockets
they will never stop it
until the rob us all
pain is all I recall
from seeing the police treating us like we still segregated
that’s okay we still gone make it
even if its on our own
you see him on the corner
her gave up hope
since he can’t get a job he gone sell dope
and her she selling something
but it ain’t drugs
she selling her dignity to strangers pimped out by a thug
while bush sit behind the desk in the oval office
shrug off responsibility and black males gain coffins
hearing little crack babies crying and coughing
So how much does it cost to live good in this so called “land of the free”
