Like I said above, I am writing a paper on Bob Dylan and the question I am answering is why he is such an iconic figure!? and what is so different about him, that has allowed him to survive the test of time, that so many other artists have not achieved!? any input helps :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Her answer was that she had to keep reinventing herself (because people like change) and she had to keep doing something controversial so her name would always be in the news!. In a documentary about Bob Dylan he himself said that he keeps changing his type of music, he went from folk to popular to country to gospel to religious and around again!. This angered many of his fans and he even would receive death threats by people upset because he jumped styles again!. When popular artists today cite him as an influence n their style then young people get curious about him and look for his music, Just my thoughts!. He was a major influence during the rock and roll revolution in the sixties, and many artists can attribute their hits to his song writing!. I think he has very broad appeal because his music is so universal and rather raw, it can be applied to many political/ emotional situations!.
