Question: Things are not always as they seem!. Do you like my little probe into philosophy!?
verity

the man he comes the man he goes
and but for reason he hardly knows

he senses touches tastes and hears
he sniffs the air round that he nears

he reasons then which is most sound!?
is this the fly or moth i’ve found!?

he thinks the moth iv’e seen before
it’s all been said with all our lore

it’s all been written since science began
that this is moth and i am man

but just for sake of verity
i question moth: tis it thee!?

his wings are folded then they rise
his eyes alert to my surmise

his wings are raised he looks at me
i am a moth as you are thee

As the young 'uns say!.!.!.!.this is deep!.

Hm, scratches head, and re-reads!. And re-reads!. Is he saying that man is a man only because he possesses reasoning powers (or should the line be 'and but for reasons that he hardly knows' or man is no different from a moth!.!.!.!.or that when a moth looks at a man he is surmising that he is something and the man is nothing!.!.!.or that the moth knows who he is and doesn't question it!.!.!.!.You have me baffled here, my old son!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In truth and in the end, all things are connected, are as one, are one!. It doesn't matter if you are the moth or the man!. This is my own interpretation of your words, perhaps I am way off the mark!. Still , this poem made me ponder and I love that!. Thank you!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
