Question: What do you think of the "IF" poem i've written!? :)!?
i love Kipling's "IF" poem and i wrote this after getting inspired by that!.!.!. it does not have the same poetry style or rhyme that his "IF" has, so pardon me if you are dissapointed :-|
i would like to have your opinion/ comments about the content of this!
" If you can smile at your mistakes,
when everyone else is laughing at it
knowing that mistakes are part of life!.
when it comes to spending,
If you can be a miser with your anger
and generous with your affection
If you can hold back your tears
and look for opportunities
when everything looks hopeless
If you can serve yourself with pleasure
when everyone else is too busy for you
yet, not get angry with them either
If you have not much to call as wealth
Yet rich enough in your heart
If you can measure yourself
By your efforts rather than your successes
If you can notice all the footsteps,
that had been with yours, all your life
And respect them for what they are!.!.
If you can present yourself with a gift
when everyone else has forgotten your birthday,
If you can rush, without your legs knowing it,
If you can worry, without your heart noticing it,
If you can find people wearing masks,
Yet not fight to tear it away!.!.
If you can be a human being,
If only for a few hours!.!.
Yours is the world,
And what is more,
You have tasted the true essence of existence!

Sheer coincidence i wrote IF The other day second time for modern humanity
hope u will like it too
If by 'CANADA' with an Apology to Rudyard Kipling
Poet Laureate of his time!.!.!.!?
IF
If you can hold your own when, others are outgrown,
And they lose their minds and upon you thrust,
If only you can confide in your friends, when others don't,
But let others have their way they want,
If you are still unpurturbed, by the harm they cause,
Or being denied your right, you do not heir’s steal,
And still do not stand to stare, nor look too unconcerned,
If you can still think of more fortunate, yet not envy those,
If you can still be calm and collected, and not let others irk,
If you can still let grief and happiness be an equal partner
And treat the two ironies, just the way one should,
If you can still share the fruits of your efforts
Taken away by others, who claim it as their own achievement!?
Or still better see them earn fame and name at your cost,
And you can still face the world squarely and boldly!.
If
If you can just forget the wrath and damage done,
And with a smile give them your clap and bravo,
And let each one of your foes, line up ahead of you
And never utter a sound of pain and sorrow!.
If you can still hold your cool, for long there after
To still be happy to bestow them praise
And feel not a bit of disgust towards malicious humanity
Expertly pass the message to them that you know, everything,
If you are the coolest one around in good company
Only you are yourself, amongst poor and the elite alike,
If no one is your enemy nor friend and both have a place!.
If all you know can look upon you, with equal measure,
If you are always your normal self at all times,
With a million jobs well done, taken as theirs
You are the sun of Wisdom, my progeny; all is your earning,
And what is most!.!.!.!.!.you are the only ''Human Being''!.
