Question: Granny, O Granny, have I penned you a funny!?
(yes, even used cacophony, too!)

Grannyspeak!

Here me world for I am Granny
of English charm and country wit!.
Yes, an old school Granny I really be
but never, never, one of those stuffy Brits!

Though I march the hare to the drummer
and maybe shake Shakespeare too…
I don’t jabber although I may be wocky
as I am stirring my lovely brew!.

Of roses and twigs, sparrows and whales
there is always a metaphor for something!.
“Too bad, too bad, my couplet left
perhaps an omelet my King will bring!”

Methinks you think my prosody is funny
catcalls from the belfry, real cacophony!.
But hear me now, and hear me well
for my words be funny but never phony!

Just the person penning this in absentia!

The spirit of it is fierce and lighthearted, but the more it is read the more charm is lost in the mumbo-jumbo of words!. If you read it out loud, to no one in particular they probably wouldn't get it and get lost in the mumbo-jumbo!.
Please don't try to make people think it is good poetry because you're a granny!. I encourage you to sit down and re-write it and give this work the life that it deserves!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh Granny, funny granny, not phony but sweeter than honey granny!.Will Granny speak some more!?I am longing to hear her ,and hear her well!

I can't tell you how much I love to see this happening--how the poets take inspiration from each other!. WE are the muses, each others' muses!. As long as we do this in friendship and love, poetry will never end!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Such portrait could be drawn only if you were in a state of presentia, not in absentia!. Well penned! ( to borrow your trade mark, if you don't mind)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
