Question: Help with this sentence structure in my poem!.!.!.!?
I'm trying to write this in a poem:

"My heart knows best, and that it shall plea!." Does that sound right!? Or should 'plea' be changed to 'plead'!? Does anything else sound wrong!?

Or this sentence:

"My heart knows best!. And it shall plead for you!."

sound right!? Yes!.!.!.no!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The last one sounds better and is less ambiguous!. Do not make it two sentences, though!. It could be either, "My heart knows best, and it shall plead for you!." (comma is optional) or, "My heart knows best; it shall plead for you!." (The semi-colon is appropriate because it has complete clauses on both sides of it!.) Without hearing it in context that is about the best I can do!. Good luck!.

"My heart knows best, and that it shall plea!." for one thing sounds better than "My heart knows best!. And it shall plead for you!."

but "My heart knows best, and that it shall plea!." sounds good but maybe something like "My heart knows best, and that it will come to plea" but it depends on your style and what this is refering to!.

Either way I like "My heart knows best, and that it shall plea!." better than "My heart knows best!. And it shall plead for you!."!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
