Question: Would this be a good idea!? Dead Poet's Society!? School Club!?

I want to start some kind of writing club at my high school!. And I'm not sure what to do!. I've had several ideas and making a Dead Poet's Society (inspired by the movie) was one of them!. I'm not sure if I should do it though!. Are there other school that have done it!?!?

Depends entirely on your hight school!. If it's a fairly large school, and you think you'd get lots of people in, then by all means give it a shot!. You've got nothing to lose by trying!.

However, I'd think twice about starting a writing club!. Reading would work fine, but people can get hurt very easily when people critique their work!. And for a lot of people, writing is a very personal thing!. What I would advise instead is finding someone else with a similar passion and getting them to look over your work and you look over theirs!. Make sure it's someone you can trust and get on well enough with to take their feedback!.

School club, no!. Social club out-of-school maybe!. I never even heard of the movie, so make sure others have interest before you start one!. Otherwise you'll end up with no members!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
