Recollections
Never good enough!.
So, you’re hurting!.
Tough!.
Don’t cry!
Tears are self pity!.
Don’t be a sissy!.
Sudden thought!.
Epiphany, now I see!.
You couldn’t give me!.
What you never got!.

Never good enough!. So, you’re hurting!. Tough!. Don’t cry! Tears are self pity!. Don’t be a sissy!. Sudden thought!. Epiphany, now I see!. You couldn’t give me!. What you never got!. Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I have the exact opposite opinion as the first person to answer (too specific to your life) The problem with 99% of the poems posted here is that they're just fluff - not specific to life, pretentious sounding, and insincere!. This one conveyed very specific emotions and thoughts to me, and I feel like I know exactly what you mean!. I would much rather a poem that sounds like this to some flowery "Po-Em" Good for you!. Www@QuestionHome@Com I had a similar epiphany in the past when I realized how horrible it must be inside the minds of my parents for them to have committed such unspeakable acts, and this sudden awareness made forgiveness possible!. I hope it did for you as well!. I think there is a world full of people who can relate to your "Recollections" and this is a tragedy!. But, forgiveness does set you free!. Thank you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com it's wise in it's "story"-information, -insight, etc!. i think it feels a little too on the nose for it to really sing as a poem, maybe use these same concepts but --take in specifics of a real person w/ real settings, etc, and let us see the story, and then we can assertain the information you are sharing!. as an example-- sitting in the orchard I realised johnny could never give me an apple because nobody ever gave him an apple!. (thats abviously not exactly what you are talking about-- but spefifics & imagery w/ what you are talking about would be great!. Www@QuestionHome@Com We can no more judge our parents than we can be judged by our children We none of us have all the tools that we need at any given time!. My mum!.!. I loved her!.!. still miss her!.!. but she did things I am not proud to admit!.!. as I always saw myself as a reflection of her and I tried very hard to be the opposite of what she was, when I did not like her very much!.!. Www@QuestionHome@Com My mum was one of eleven children!.!.!.!.a middle child - so, I bet she never received love!.!.!.!.she certainly never passed any love on! This poem could have been written by me!. Thank goodness, the rot stopped with me!.!.!.!.!.I hugged, kissed and loved my kids to bits (as I do my grandkids) Www@QuestionHome@Com Most of us have been there, one time on this side, and another on the other side!. Ironically, we ( our ego) usually remember just one of them!. Well put !Www@QuestionHome@Com Yes I have been!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
