Question: What say you to being "Lost at Sea"!?
Lost at Sea

Lost at sea
I plummet its depths
yet the ocean
strangely
embraces me
my fear
turns to comfort
as silence enfolds
my eyes take in
its vastness
air escapes
lungs take in water
no heaviness I feel
blood turns cold
before death overtakes
your presence I see
strong arms pull me near
we felt so free
drifting together
both lost at sea
our lips meet
your warmth
now mine
I never feared
my heart
always knew
you'd not leave me
to drift alone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Was that a rescue, or was it the kiss of death!? A rescue by a friend or lover, or were you joined in death!? Are you drifting toward safety, or toward your demise!?
Very powerful stuff!.

The sea as metaphor for death!? A last-minute rescue by a friend or lover!? Very descriptive!.

I don't view the sea that way!. I have been at sea in storms!. Living on an Island I have experienced several hurricanes (LA is not the only place to suffer from hurricanes)!. Yet, I have never been afraid!. I know the power of the ocean, but come to it as a comfort, almost a friend!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home!.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crossed the bar!. ~ TennysenWww@QuestionHome@Com

Another winner here!. The symbolism is exactly right for the subject!.!.!.it lends itself so well to the idea of being alone, drowning in a sea of sorrows and then finding some-one to share your life with you!.!.!.I like the idea that your saviour joins you, rather than splashing up, rescuing you and pulling you onto the beach!.!.!.!.which is what some macho male might think you need!. (sorry, guys - I love you all, really I do)Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is always nice when Tom Hanks shows up and splashes around while he gives you a kiss or is this a different plot!? lol Nice imagery and the poem leaves a lot of room for multiple meanings!. Well done!. Now tell me where Darryl Hannah went!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The imagery is nice - lots of description!.
It's a little bit of an overdone idea, but I like it a lot the way you wrote it!.
Sounds old world like a sea captains widow might have written it or something!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I love your poetry!.!.!.!.!.

but I work with the sea, and your poem describes in precise detail my fears!.

So!.!.!.!.!.fantastic words, that hit the spot!.!.!.!.!.
