Trail of a Cowboy
The trail was dry and long, an end could not be seen
The dust had made his throat go dry, his water wasn't clean
His horse was getting tired, the sweat dripped off his nose
The cowboy adjusted his hat and still down the trail he rode!.
Hours passed, the trail still long, the sun began to fade
The cowboy started thinking of where to end the day
When out of nowhere some trees were seen along a shallow creek
Alas a place to rest himself and to lead his horse to drink!.
Just as he got settled and the sky had turned to night
The cowboy was interrupted by a so familiar sight
Back through the trail, up the yard with his bike the boy was led
As his Mother gently kissed his face and put the little cowboy to bed!.
