She rests beneath yon old oak tree, The place she picked to stay!. The orange globe that's climbing high, Has lost much of it's light!. The warmth has gone from it's bright glow, It's now as cool as night!.!. The emerald trees have lost their sheen, The birds sing bitter songs!. When she was here the bluebells rang, As if they were brass gongs!. The forest sounds are silent now, The creatures miss her sight!. She loved them all, they loved her too, And all the world seemed bright!. I hope someday the bluebird's song, Is heard here in this glen, As we two hand in hand will stroll, When I too meet life's end!. The previous answer is correct - it does depend upon the person, but after the mourning is over (there has to be a time for mourning), that person can bring happiness back into his life, even tho' the forest may be silent - and it won't stay silent forever!. When the creatures end their mourning, they will begin to sing again!. Www@QuestionHome@Com I loved your poem, it is beautiful!. My Grandpa wrote one poem before he passed away, it was a tribute to his first wife who passed away when she was 34 y/o and it was a lot like this poem!. It was beautiful, just like yours is!.
