Question: Is silence really lonely!?
My mountain home is silent now,
My love has gone away!.
She rests beneath yon old oak tree,
The place she picked to stay!.
The orange globe that's climbing high,
Has lost much of it's light!.
The warmth has gone from it's bright glow,
It's now as cool as night!.!.
The emerald trees have lost their sheen,
The birds sing bitter songs!.
When she was here the bluebells rang,
As if they were brass gongs!.
The forest sounds are silent now,
The creatures miss her sight!.
She loved them all, they loved her too,
And all the world seemed bright!.
I hope someday the bluebird's song,
Is heard here in this glen,
As we two hand in hand will stroll,
When I too meet life's end!.

Silence is my reflective time, essential as breathing!. I'm often much more lonely in a crowd!. I can hear this in my mind with a melancholy Irish tune as I stare out to night!.!.beautiful, Dondi!
That's a beautiful poem!.
The previous answer is correct - it does depend upon the person, but after the mourning is over (there has to be a time for mourning), that person can bring happiness back into his life, even tho' the forest may be silent - and it won't stay silent forever!. When the creatures end their mourning, they will begin to sing again!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
I loved your poem, it is beautiful!. If you have not had it copyrighted yet I suggest you do that and is it published anywhere!? If it is not, it should be!. I have had several published (no, I didn't pay to get them published, the publishers contacted me) Keep writing, you have real talent!. I would love to read some more of your poems, if you have more!.
My Grandpa wrote one poem before he passed away, it was a tribute to his first wife who passed away when she was 34 y/o and it was a lot like this poem!. It was beautiful, just like yours is!. Thank you for
This lovely, melodic poem is indeed a sad song!. Silence is lonely; silence is hell, especially to a communicator!. When the world is silent, it is a bleak, frightening place!. Your poem paints the emptiness in metaphor, form and rhyme!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
This is charming and poignant!. The silence in this poem is the reverential hush of Nature in the wake of a lost loved one!. This silence is not without hope, for the love is eternal and the lovers will be together again, forever!. It is such a beautiful poem!. Thank you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
