Question: Does your muse ever go walkies!?
Absent Muse

"Create a poem" someone said and so I sat and wondered!.!.!.
I racked my brains and scratched my head, my very soul I plundered!.
The subject had to be profound or effort would be wasted,
within my mind I tossed around the many joys I'd tasted!.
But nothing seemed to strike a chord to prompt me into writing,
with absent muse and blunted sword there was no point in fighting!.
Then what about the pains of life, the hardship and the sorrow!?
There must be something in such strife, a theme that I could borrow!.
Alas, my efforts were in vain - I just could not get started!.
My loss, though, is the reader's gain
and with that thought - departed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like this!. Solid beat rattling along to a satisfying end!. A poem about the inability to write a poem, brought a smile to my face!. I can also relate to the subject, having looked at a blank piece of paper many times for what seemed like an age!.

Enjoyed it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
