Question: What say you to "the dinner hour"!?
Just me, fighting demons

Leave me alone!.
I'm fine
**shut up ***** i said give me the fking lighter**
She rolls her eyes
And then complies
**you gunna sit at that damn computer all day!?**
I just walked in, long day!.!.!.give me a min!.!.!.
**I said now *****!.!.!.Fkn do to get some respect!?**

Voice now raised, neighbors hear
He knows which buttons
And plays with her fear
His words are delivered
With precision and snap
Each time he steps forward
He threatens to slap
She tries to maintain
Some semblence of pride
Takes it all in
Without blinking an eye
Makes him dinner
Then sits!.!.!.with a sigh

**Aren't you going to eat honey bun!?**
I'm fine!.
Leave me alone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The unbearable tension, the restive apprehension of violence inferred, the perpetual aggression—these things can, under certain circumstances ,almost become the norm, become mundane in a terrible way, so that you can "take it all in without blinking an eye"!. This is a tragedy!. Very powerful words!. Thank you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if he talks to you in that manner, if he deliberately makes you think he will slap you, you need to leave!. trust me, it will escalate!. if you feel you have no where to go, there are shelters that will help you get situated!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ouch! I mean, OUCH!

That hurt!. What a powerful read, you brought us right into the room and made us feel the anger, shame, tension and resignation!. A place I don't want to revisit and pray that you are not really in, cause if you are, you must get help!.
