Question: People nowadays - A poem I wrote, what do you think!?
okay so, this is a poem I wrote and I would like to know what you think of it!.
They slap you across your face
Making you feel out of place
And that you are nothing but a disgrace
That’s how people are nowadays
It’s a corrupted world hard to live in
Everyone is selfish and never shares a thing
They lie, they cheat, they do anything to win
Even if it means faking a lethal grin
They do the impossible to build a strong backbone
And even seek power to be strong and well known
When they make a mistake they never groan nor do they moan
They just confront them knowing they are strong on their own
People are scary for they know what they are doing
Every step they take is as important as the air they are breathing
There is no time for weakness, no time to be falling
For life is a race, a race where you must keep running

It is generally pretty good!. In your next revision try to make the rhythm a little less awkward!. also, some of the rhymes feel a little forced, but this may correct itself as you work on the rhythm!. In terms of content, I am sorry that you are so cynical about people; some of us are not so bad :) Hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Excellent imagery, yet the pentameter is choppy!. Either cut it up entirely so that there is no pentameter in each stanza, or re-write it so that the pentameter is exact in each!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
I think you should make the whole thing rhyme or not at all, as it is a little difficult to read!. Other than that, I like it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
