Question: I've been told this is my best!. What do you think!?
~A Prisoner~
An extreme love, a dire hate!.
Infatuation, is never fate!.
Intimate thoughts, nothing but desire!.
These words of meaning, i all but admire!.
I detest the thoughts, the feelings, the dreams!.
It’s for all of these, I want to scream!.
To just let go, and only forget!.
To excape it all, so nothing is meant!.
These nightmares i have, of running away!.
But through it all, i am forced to stay!.
To endure it all, till my life’s at end!.

Now!.!.!. D!. I thought this poem was very well done!. I read it through a couple times, feeling it as I went!. Since I already have a natural streaming imagination, I could picture the scenes just fine!. I found the end a bit sad actually!. "To be freed at last, and imprisoned again"!. It's almost as if the reader is caught in a "time" warp or having an experience like Drew Barrymore did in the movie "50 First Dates"!. Does that make sense!?
Anyway, it's splendid!. And don't worry about the critics!. They b*tch because they haven't got anything better to do or haven't had any for awhile!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Okay!. A poem is a collection of snapshots of living life!. I need alot more real experience!. Actual living observations of what your own two eyes see!. Like a journalist, only with very descriptive and lyrical word!. This poem is a collection of words!. Desire, admire, away, stay, end again!. I need more images to grasp onto!. There are no real images to grasp onto!. "these nightmares i have" and "an "extreme love" Describe them!. What are the blood and guts of them!? I want the details!. I can relate to details!. I can't relate to mere rhyme without a picture of what I am looking at!. I really like the last stanza "To endure it all, til my life's end!. to be freed at last, and imprisoned again!." It with a very deep vision of reincarnation, and gives DEEP MEANING and a twist at the end of the poem!. But the rest of the poem does not tell any story!. It doesn't grab me!.
