My Lighthouse

His bird song sings you to sleep,
Dark feathered wings wrap around you,
His hawk eyes search your face,
For even an ounce of worry of pain,
He is not human nor bird,
Simply your guardian angel,
He may be your lover, brother or dearest friend,
But he’ll be there forever,
Well past the end,
You will never need for a light house,
For his halo will light your way,
He watches you sleep, work and play,
Protecting you from danger,
Always a thoughts notice away!.

The poem seem to bring out the element of a need to be protected, but the dark feathers and Hawk eyes tend to contradict this surrender to be protected and instead creates suspicion, why should these eyes search your face!? its like a hawk waiting for any sign of fear so that it could pounce, But in the end there is trust and surrender!
Perhaps its just simple trust and hope in that overwhelming spirit that guides and protects life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like it very much, it makes me feel warm!. I really like the way you say his eyes search your face, it makes me think that he is looking at you so sharply for any tiny bit of anything but happy so that he can take it away for you!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
