Question: Can someone please help me interpret this poem!?
If by EE Cummings

If freckles were lovely, and day was night,
And measles were nice and a lie warn't a lie,
Life would be delight,-
But things couldn't go right
For in such a sad plight
I wouldn't be I!.

If earth was heaven, and now was hence,
And past was present, and false was true,
There might be some sense
But I'd be in suspense
For on such a pretense
You wouldn't be you!.

If fear was plucky, and globes were square,
And dirt was cleanly and tears were glee
Things would seem fair,-
Yet they'd all despair,
For if here was there
We wouldn't be we!.

If all the things that make life difficult, sad, unpleasant or imperfect suddenly didn't exist or suddenly had the opposite effect, life perhaps would seem more delightful, more fair, and would seem to make more sense!. However things wouldn't be right with this scenario, and we wouldn't really be happier because it's all the hardships in life that make us who we are, that define us!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

that the two lovers are accepting of eachothers flaws and love each other for that!.
and without flaws and something bad in their lives everyonce in a while
they wouldn't be who they are right now or where they are right nowWww@QuestionHome@Com

things are the way they are for a reason!. the writer is also saying the flaws in her/his lover is what he/she loves!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
