Question: (2)Anyone please check if this is a simile or a metaphor, what two things compared!? Please Help I beg you all!?
"While the fleeing soldier's hand was cut open by barbed wire, he cried like a baby!."

I already know that this is a metaphor but can you please tell me what two things are bring compared!?

the crying of the soldier when he cut his hand, to the crying of a baby!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Thats a similie because it used the word "like!." It is comparing a baby to the crying soldier!. A metaphor would be "he's a baby for crying!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is a similie which basically compares the crying of the soldier to the crying of a baby!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A simile has the word like or as in it and in this case it has "like" so it's a simileWww@QuestionHome@Com
