Potential

In dirt field
dug from earth
dull brown mass
of starch is found!.
Irregular shaped
covered in soil
nothing can it claim
to please the sight!.
Yet, close your eyes
imagine it washed
freshly baked
steam escaping
pierced golden skin!.
Delectable feast, now
potato transformed
its potential has
been reached!.
When viewing others
do you take
similar pause to
reflect upon what
they could be!?
Don't leave them
at first glance
in field of dirt,
transform them
in mind's eye
to highest potential

I don't believe I shall ever regard a potato in the same way, and this is a wonderful reflection on your inspired poem about the potential in everyone to be beautiful in meaningful ways!.
